Description
The T. Schreiber Studio is recognized as one of the foremost theatre studios in New York City, devoted to the comprehensive training and development of actors in a supportive and collaborative environment. Established in 1969, the Studio has become a home and training ground for many artists who have gone on to successful careers in theatre, film, and television. Notable alumni include Edward Norton, Peter Saarsgard, and Maria Bello.
The Studio's ongoing classes are integrated into its annual season of productions, allowing the Studio's accomplished faculty to guide the growth of each artist from the class to the stage. The faculty of the T. Schreiber Studio is composed of working professionals and established artists in theatre, film, and television, all under the direction of Terry Schreiber. The Studio is committed to helping each actor develop and strengthen his/her skills: to know how to work, to become capable of getting work, and most of all, to excel in his/her work.
The T. Schreiber Studio was recently awarded the 2010 Backstage Readers' Choice Awards for Acting Company to Act With and Favorite Off-Off Broadway Theatre Company to See and were runners up for: Scene Study Teacher (Terry Schreiber), Dialect Coach (Page Clements), Vocal/Singing Coach (Page Clements), On-Camera Teacher/Class (Peter Miner), Commercial Workshop Class (John Swain).
In 2009, the Studio won the Backstage Readers' Choice Awards for Favorite Scene Study Class, Favorite Cold Reading Class, Favorite Vocal Coach (Page Clements), Favorite Dialect Coach (Page Clements), and Favorite Off-Off Broadway Theatre Company. The Studio was also runner-up for Favorite Casting Director Workshop.
