Having been an acting coach for 30 years as well as a professional director and actor, I am well aware of the pitfalls of auditioning and I believe that actors can and should control their auditions. As creator of "The Performer Audition Package", I find material suitable for each actor and use exercises for control and confidence at auditions to show their talent and choices-not their insecurity. My inspiration is watching raw talent blossom into confident actors able to impress agents and casting directors enough to get them work. Show me your passion and commitment for acting and you will find an acting coach willing to assist you in your goals. Acting is an equation: talent, imagination, passion, commitment, and total discipline added to the physical and mental stamina required for the realities of the business. Assuming real talent is evident, the other necessary requirements are intelligence, presence and an willingness to be fearlessly creative. Students will get the best out of me if they believe that acting is serious business, do their homework, show up on time, and move beyond technique and process to become artists. Starting as a teenager, I have had an acting career that encompasses all the media-theatre, films and TV. I studied personally with Stella Adler for two years and I have acted off-Broadway, in regional theater, film and TV and many commercials. I am a member of Actor's Equity, AFTRA and SAG, the Dramatists Guild and SSD&C (the director/choreographers union-check out the rave reviews for my directorial work from New York Critics on my website).
